So.
Checkliste.
Member - check.
Eingelogt -check.
dann kanns ja los gehn :P

Ich poste hier mal eine Frage die ich auch auf nem anderen Board gestellt habe.

Ich habe mir soeben ein billiges Alton (nein, nicht Athlon) Model V694D Dualboard fuer PIIIs CPUs gekauft. Alle Seiten im Internet sagen das ich dieses Board mit PIIIs im Dualbetrieb benutzen kann und es bis zu PIII 1.13 GHz unterstuetzt.

So, das Problem ist jetzt, das alle Seiten ebenfalls sagen das es ein FC-PGA Board ist und alle Seiten die ich gefunden habe, sagen das alle PIII 1.13 FC-PGA2 sind. Und da das ein ziehmlicher Unterschied ist, kann ich keine 1.13 GHz mit einem FC-PGA MoBo benutzen . (Es gibt wohl noch einen 1.13B der ueber S.E.C.C. 2 laueft, aber das ist wohl auch nicht unterstuetzt.)

Jetzt ist meine Frage, was soll das? Bzw, GIBT es einen FC-PGA 1.13 PIII ? Kann ich das ganze trotzdem mit einem FC-PGA2 benutzen? Ist das gane nur ausgelegt auf maximal 1.13 GHz fuer den Fall das Intel einen bastelt? Kann ich maximal den PIII 1.10 GHz benutzen?

Man hat mir gesagt das es mal 1.13 in FC-PGA gab die aber Probleme gemacht haben und das ich mit ner Menge Bastelei auch FC-PGA2s auf dem Board laufen lassen koennte.

Was sagt ihr dazu?

es hat wirklich mal einen normalen P3 1133 gegeben, kann mich noch an den Test von Tomshardware (*schäm*) erinnern, der war aber instabil.

So schlecht passt die Frage gar nicht ins MoBo-Forum...

Es stimmt, es gab mal einen P3-1,13 GHz in FCPGA-Bauform, der aber wegen Stabilitätsproblemen wieder vom Markt genommen wurde.
Dein Board ist - wenn nicht explizit anders angegeben - also ein FCPGA-Board, FCPGA2-CPUs laufen nur mit größeren Modifikationen, die ich mir bei dem Billig-Ding, wie du ja selbst sagst, nicht antun würde.
Den 1100er P3-FCPGA kannste benutzen, aber der ist wegen dem niedrigen Bustakt nicht grad der Reißer.

Ich hatte vor mir ein billiges Dualboard zu kaufen, um damit meine ganzen Animationen zu rendern.

Ich hab das Teil fuer 30 Oecken via Ebay gekauft, das heisst es is nicht so schlimm wenn ich es genau dort wieder verkaufen muesste.

Wuerdest du mir raten das Teil zu verscherbeln, ein besseres zu kaufen und direkt bessere CPUs?

Alles in allem wuerde ich gut 700 Oiro fuer Board, zwo 1.1 GHz und 1.5 GB SDRAM zahlen.

Wenn die Antwort ja ist, welche Board/CPU/RAM Combo sollte ich nehmen?

Dann würd ich dir eher zu 2 P3-1GHz raten, der höhere FSB reisst mehr raus als die 100 MHz mehr vom 1100er. Wenn du die Maschine nicht groß übertakten willst (Was ich mir mit dem Board eh nicht so einfach vorstelle), reicht PC133-Markenspeicher, halt nicht der größte Schrott.

Aber wie gesagt, gibt es bessere PIII Dualboards (im 100 Euro Preisgebiet)? Wenn ja, welche?

Wie wär's damit: Supermicro P3PTDL3 & 2 * PIII-S 1400 :eek: :eek: :eek: *BETE-AUF-DEN-LOTTOGEWINN-NÄCHSTE-WOCHE*

Nun, mal im Ernst, wenn Du 700 Euro ausgeben willst, kannst Du Dir was richtig chices holen:
MSI Pro266TD Master ca. 170 Euro
512 MB Samsung DDR-RAM PC-2100 ca. 170 Euro
und entweder
2 * PIII FCPGA 1000 FSB 133 (neu ca. 150 Euro / Stück oder ebay)
oder aber
2 * PIII-S Tualatin 1133 (neu uninteressant, bei ebay aber durchaus für 150 Euro / Stück zu bekommen)

Das wäre dann ein Rechenknecht auf den man stolz sein kann.

aber dennoch, ich würde mir nichts verbauen.
selbst bei standard takt, kannste z.b. speichertimings pushen.
und dann nimm pc2700 samsung.
den könnste dann beim piii-s gut gebrauchen für fsb166.
bzw. 333 :D
