86W sollen laut quellen nichmal vom 3,6er verbraucht werden also issa schonmal nich schlecht

Wenn man 'ne _richtige_ RAID 5/10/50 Karte haben will, also eine mit XOR-engine und SD-RAM als Cache, legt man gut und gerne 500eus hin. Alles andere ist Spielerei und inperformant

Was ich hier nur empfehlen kann, ist ein RAID 5 als Softraid ... ist die billigste Alternative und ist sogar noch schneller als dieses onboard "RAID 5". Einziger Nachteil: wenn auf dem RAID das OS läuft muss man schon etwas tricksen um das als Softraid zum laufen zu bekommen ...

Software Raid 5 bääää entweder richtig oder gar nicht

Der neue Käse P4 ist schon ein schritt in die Richte richtung, will trotzdem den Xeon Tulsa haben

Da gibts ein kleines Update! THG hat nun auch den neuen Dualcore "Presler" in die Finger bekommen zum Testen.
Mein Fazit: Gute Verbesserungen aber zu spät!

First up was Cedar Mill, which we had running at 3.60GHz at 1.300V by default. Our first test was to see how far we could get it without increasing the core voltage, and the best that we could do there was 4.25GHz (250MHz x 17.0).

Our next test was to see how high we could push the 3.60GHz processor on a stock Intel HSF. The result ended up being 4.50GHz at 1.4125V, using a 250MHz FSB and the chip's default 18x clock multiplier:

mal schauen was aus der final version herauszuholen is bzgl. undervolten ... dann is ein dual core dothan evtl. nich mehr fern

naja, aber wer schon ne wakü hat.. da ists fast egal was drunter klemmt.
und 4,5 für nen es is ganz anständig..
wenn der erste schwung von den neuen verkauft ist, sollten anschließend recht taugliche dabei sein..
