RAM wird nicht korrekt erkannt

Hallo,

habe mir für meinen kleinen Homeserver bei Ebay 2*512 MB SD Ram erstigert, laut Verkäufer
* Busfrequenz: 100/133Mhz
* Unbuffered
* FSB 133
* Doppelseitig bestückt
* 3.3V
* High Density
* 168 Pins
* Non-ECC
* Non-Parity
* Markenspeicher: INFINEON
* DUAL CHANNEL- fähig
* 64x4
(das ist ein gleiches Angebot <a href="http://cgi.ebay.de/NEU-2x-512-MB-SDRAM- ... 8">LINK</a>)
da er beim gleichen Produkt vorher schon positive Bewertungen hat, gehe ich jetzt mal davon aus, dass der RAM in Ordnung ist. Nun zu meinem Problem, mein Mainboard erkennt jedes Modul lediglich als 256 MB Modul.

Unterstützt ja laut Herstellerseite 1GB. Habe ich da irgendetwas (Jumper evtl) übersehen, damit die Module korrekt erkannt werden?

Hallo!

Das gleiche Problem hatte ich ebenfalls mit dem günstigen "High Density" Ram, nur war meiner "singlesided" 512MB und wurde vom Board(6BPVO) gar nicht erkannt.
Mit normalen "Low Density" Ram hab ich keine Probleme mehr gehabt.

Hab jetzt mal etwas recherchiert, und bin auf folgende Seiten gestoßen:

Wenn ich der Seite von Asus glauben schenken darf, dann haben meine 512er Module auch 256Mbit Speicherdichte, was laut des zweiten Links mit dem via ple133t kompatibel wäre.
Wahrscheinlich geht es auf dem Papier und in der Realität dann irgendwie doch wieder nicht, schade...

Hatte auch versucht die Rams einzeln laufen zu lassen (jeden in jedem der beiden Slots versucht), wurden aber auch alleine nur als 256 Module angezeigt im Bios. Dann werde ich mich wohl mal auf die Suche nach einem mAtx Tualatin Board machen müssen wo die Inkompatibilität nicht auftritt.

wage mal einfach die Theorie, das auch für diesen Chipsatz nur 32Mx64 Ram funktioniert, aber genau weiß ich's auch nich, klingt aber so
